SATURDAY - DAVID WON HIS CONSY 4TH ROUND MATCH 11-6. WINNING THIS MATCH SECURED A 7TH PLACE FINISH AT 103LBS. FRIDAY NIGHT- DAVID LOST HIS CONSY 3RD ROUND MATCH 8-5. ON SATURDAY HE WILL BE WRESTLING FOR 7TH PLACE. FRIDAY- DAVID LOST A CLOSE SECOND ROUND MATCH 3-2, WHILE ETHAN FELL SHORT IN HIS MATCH ALSO. DAVID WON HIS CONSOLATION MATCH 7-1. ETHAN LOST HIS CONSILATION MATCH 7-2. WE ARE EXTREMELY PROUD OF BOTH MIFFLINBURG WRESTLERS AND THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
ETHAN MIDKIFF AND DAVID SHEESLEY BOTH WON THEIR FIRST ROUND MATCHES ON THURSDAY WITH ETHAN BEATING HIS OPPONENT 8-4, AND DAVID WINNING A CLOSE 2-1 MATCH.
The Standard Journal will be doing an article on our wrestlers that qualified for Regionals. The articles will be in the paper on March 4th and another on March 16th. The articles are sponsored by the Mifflinburg Wrestling Club. Mifflinburg Wrestlers advancing at Sectionals and Districts
At Sectionals in Shamokin, Mifflinburg advanced five wrestlers to Districts. 103 - David Sheesley - 2nd place 112- Dakota Noll - 2nd place 125 - Ethan Midkiff - 1st place 135 - Brad Catherman - 3rd 152 - Ty Walter - 1st place 171 - Jake Heeter - 1st place
At District IV wrestling in Williamsport, Mifflinburg advanced three wrestlers to Regionals. 103 - David Sheesley - 2nd place Ranked 3rd in Regionals 125 - Ethan Midkiff - 3rd place Ranked 5th in Regionals 152 - Ty Walter - 4th place Ranked 7th in Regionals
